News Delivery - 0:54 AM
PST
Like I said earlier, here I am, just had lunch and ready to
deliver some news. Alright then, let's get started. First, I want to
tell you guys that thanx to FIFA 2000
Online, I've got the FIFA 2000 pack shot for those who live in
Netherlands. You should be able to see the shot on the right. I'm not
linking this to a bigger one, because the bigger shot was kind of
similar in size (just 10 - 20 pixs difference). However, If you still
want to see it along with other pack shots we've collected, then I
recommend you to go to the pack shot page
in the screen
shots section.
Let's move on: my friend Nati has told me
that they have redesign Euro-BALL. Oh yeah, for those who
is wondering, yes this was FIFALAND. They have changed their name
officially, from FIFALAND to Euro-BALL, recently. Check it out!
It looks more simpler, cleaner, and also more intuitive than the old
interface.
Now for the big one (well, not so big, actually):
Luca L.D. Lombardi have written a preview over at Centre Of
Players. He saw one of those early release version in SMAU, the
international informatic show that was hold in Milan. Here's some
thoughts:
The animations of the players are
amazing! I falled in love of a scene: one forward, back to the door, was
defending the ball from the defender and they really were... alive...
hard to explain but the forward kept the defender far with his right arm
and the defender was pulling him from the shirt... really great. By this
point of view I think that EA
Sports has done a great job. These are touch of class that make a
football game a football simulation.
Okay, that's about
it for now, but don't worry, we'll be back again later with some more
fresh news. Catch you later, guys! =)

Classic Teams - 5:00 PM
PST Hi guys! Was I right, or what? There's plenty of
fun-tastic news and that's just the beginning. Nicky over at FIFA 2000 Online have posted list of
all Classic Teams in FIFA 2000. There's lot of great classic teams here,
such as Brazil 1970, AC Milan 1988 - 1990, England 1966, Italy 1982, and
some other collection of great classic teams. Check out the full listing
here.
I'll post somethings again later, when I get back from school, so stay
tuned... =)

Even Another Preview -
9:04 AM PST Operation Sports has posted a
very good preview
of the FIFA 2000: Major League Soccer PlayStation version. Much new info
and a lot of new screenshots. Here's some tastes:
The ball actually seems to be moving
among people because if people get in the way of the ball, it gets
deflected and the path of the ball changes. This is the first time
I’ve played a soccer game that has lived up to its fact sheet. When I
say that I mean the fact sheet talks about “new shielding logic for
more precise ball control” and this time I actually feel like I have
better ball control in dribbling, passing, and shooting. The control
with the dual shock controller is great, and I should tell you right
now that the square button is “aggressive tackle” or as I like to call
it “automatic red card.”
When you are playing in snow, an
orange ball is used, and the weather effects are beautiful.
Right at the front of the game you have these
options: Exhibition (Friendly) mode for a quick game, tournament mode
where you can take in the European Championship our FA Trophy, and of
course the World Cup. You can also create your own cup tournament if
you’d like. Leagues are also available, and you can also create your
own league. You MUST create your own league if you want to have an MLS
12 team league. You can also choose from a season (but not MLS) and
you can also choose training if you’re not yet ready for the big
time. Snow, the European Championship and the World
Cup! Great things!! Only around two weeks to go! I can't wait until
October 29th!! There are also around 20 new screenshots, click here
to go directly to the screenshot page over at Operation Sports.

More Screen
Shots - 8:20 AM PST Like Mike said, there is very much
exciting news today. FIFALAND
has two new screenshots from the PC version of FIFA 2000. Not the best
graphic on this screenshots. Probably the game didn't run in the same
high resolution as the four screenshots Nicky got for some few days ago.
Anyway here they are:

Super News
Days! - 7:35 AM PST I take back my words. I have a
feeling about this. I'm sure that in the upcoming days (maybe on this
day, mainly) we would be able to see news flying all over the place.
It's because the early release version of FIFA 2000 has been given to
some lucky person such as Matt and Ric from Soccer Gaming and I'm sure they
will be able to deliver some in-game screen shots and some other cool
stuff. Here's some excerpts from Matt:
A few
things that I must mention; the new and improved Automatic Replay
feature after you score a goal is awesome. There's even a camera placed
in the back of the net. On top of this the crowd now moves, and the
"jostling" and "coliding" features have to be seen to be
believed.
The report also tell us that
they would be 41 classic teams and an area where cheat codes can be
typed in. On the right you should be able to see the new screen shot. If
you look at it closely, you should see a water bottle in the bottom of
the near post. =) One thing I would say: the shadow of the player looks
more realistic than the '99 series, but still not perfect. On the other
hand, the ball shadow looks just about perfect.
Stay tuned
because Kristoffer would be here later posting plenty of exciting
news.

of the playstaion version from FIFA 2000: Major League Soccer. No new
info, but there are seven new screeshots from the playstation version of
FIFA 2000. They look great, very good graphic even for the playstation.
On the right is one of them, click on it to enlarge it. Check out the
rest in the PSX

FIFA 2000 Online Norway - 9:56 AM
PST My online buddy Smurfe or Hans Vidar started up FIFA 2000 Online Norway for about
two weeks ago. It's a very good site for norwegians and you get the

New info about
cups and tournaments - 9:32 AM PST When I visited FIFA 2000: Temple Of Football
I noticed that Eli had got some new info about cups and tournaments from
EA Sports. Here's the quote:
According to EA Sports representative,
FIFA 2000 will have many game modes of play - Including the World Cup!
Wether the world cup will be integrated along with the season/cup mode
is another piece of information which I am trying to get hold of.
However, above playing already made tournaments, you are once again
given the option to create your own league or cup game with seemlessly
endless configurations. I can't say if this is true,
but I may ask EA Sports about it.
Kristoffer
European name?
- 9:27 AM PST We all know that FIFA 2000 will be
called "FIFA 2000: Major League Soccer" in USA. Until now, it didn't
seem like the europeen version of FIFA 2000 would have an "extra name",
but FIFA 2000: Temple Of
Football claims that FIFA 2000 will be called "FIFA 2000: The World
Of Football" in Europe.

FIFA 2000
Australia - 9:21 AM PST It looks like EA Sports in Australia just opened up their
official FIFA 2000 wed site. Head over here
the check it out, but there's not much there for the moment. Hope they
update with some new info later some time.

FIFA 2000
Going Local - 3:42 AM PST
I've just noticed that over at EA Sports Thailand they have
posted a pack shot of their own version of FIFA 2000 (the Thai version).
You can see the pack shot in the right. I think that is Zico being
featured at the box. Thanx to Nicky for this info.
On the other
hand, I've also got the news about the Greek version. Apparently, the
Greek version of FIFA 2000 will have Tsiartas on the cover of their
pack, and the famous Greek commentator, Hristos Satirakopoulos will be
commenting on it. Thanx to Commander K for this info.
Mike
Pack Shots - 1:53 AM
PST This time, I've gotten my hands on three pack
shots. They are the Italian version of FIFA 2000 on PC platform pack
shot, and the new US version for both PC and PSX platform pack shots.
The new PC version for US residents sure looks better than the old one.
Thanx to FIFAMANIA for the
Italian pack shot and Cyber
Soccer for the new US version pack shots.
![Click for a bigger picture!]() I've also redesign the
other pack
shots page, so don't forget to check out our collection of other pack
shots in the screen shots
section.

since I've updated this page. Well, this time Nicky over at FIFA 2000 Online has got four brand
